Tyan BIOS updates for AMD Microprocessor vulnerabilities

Tyan is protecting our customers by releasing BIOS updates to address a security vulnerability found in the AMD EPYC platform known as ‘Spectre Type 2’ (CVE-2017-5715) by adopting AMD AGESA code 1.0.0.6. Detailed information about this issue can be found at AMD's Processor Security page. We recommend that customers download and apply BIOS updates to address these vulnerabilities as they become available.

Please be aware that while Tyan does perform standard regression testing to validate new BIOS releases, BIOS updates may cause unforeseen issues with specific configurations. Customers are encouraged to validate new BIOS updates with their specific hardware and software configurations before deploying into production servers.
