The TYAN Yellow River series is an ultra high density twin server platform that featured with scalable, modular, space effective, manageable, efficient, flexibility and fast through put for data centers and HPC (High Performance Computing) applications.

The majority of cloud computing infrastructure consists of reliable services delivered through data centers and built on lots of servers. TYAN Micro Servers: Higher Density, Lower Power Consumption and Lower Cost

The Micro Server segment is an emerging category which features hot swappable, single-socket processor nodes with higher density and lower power consumption than traditional single server or blade server enclosures. This design features lower cost, reduces energy consumption, conserves space, and minimizes cabling. TYAN's FM65 Micro Server targets both web and cloud computing applications for the SMB (small to medium sized business) field.

    The 18 node density comparison (TYAN Micro Server and Yellow River series):

    The TYAN Micro Server is the highest density server platform on the market. The FM65 Micro Server offers 18 nodes in a 4U enclosure, resulting in a logical .22U per node. This is about twice the density of our space efficient Yellow River server series and just over four times the density of a traditional 1U server.
  • Sharing power and cooling system to save costs:
    TYAN's FM65 Micro Server packs up to 18 nodes in a 4U chassis, with each node running one CPU. Overall energy consumption is reduced as all eighteen nodes share the same power and cooling system.
  • High-reliability and scalable performance:
    The FM65 Micro Server provides outstanding reliability due to the fact that all eighteen nodes are independent and feature a redundant hot-swap power supply unit. Individual nodes can be powered down for maintenance and removed without powering off or disturbing any of the other servers in the chassis.
