TYAN INTRODUCES NEW PLATFORMS/SYSTEMS AT INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM (Booth #: 714)
Showcase Features Newest Dual-Core Platforms, Barebones Servers from Tyan
INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, SAN FRANCISCO, CA, August 23rd, 2005 - Tyan®, a world leader in motherboard technology, will showcase new products that include next-generation motherboards and
barebones systems based on the latest chipsets and processors from Intel Corporation. Many of these products feature dual-core, virtualization, and 64-bit support as well as the latest storage and network technology
available. Tyan has been a regular exhibitor at the bi-annual Intel Developer Forum event for a number of years.
Products to be showcased include those based on the Intel® Xeon, Pentium® 4 with
Hyper-Threading, and Pentium D (dual-core) processors. Many of Tyan's products are ideal for value, enterprise, and high-end power computing requirements. These products have exceptionally high bandwidth and
storage capabilities with multiple Gigabit Ethernet LAN connections, multiple USB 2.0 ports, and Serial ATA-2. Next-generation entry and mid-range desktop/workstation motherboards with features such as Gigabit Ethernet,
FireWire, and integrated audio will on be on exhibition as well.
Tyan's Transport line of barebones servers will also be on display at the Intel Developer Forum. Form factors include standard 1U rackmounts with
multiple Gigabit Ethernet connections, hot-swap, RAID-capable drive bays for SCSI and SATA, pre-installed CD-ROM drives, multiple hardware monitoring and control features, and a tool-less chassis enclosure design.
