Transport GT20 and GT24 System Designs Offer Features and Convenience for Next-Gen Builds
TAIPEI, TAIWAN, March 10th, 2005 - Mission-critical and time-sensitive
customer projects often need solutions that can meet the demands of 24 hour, 7 days a week operations, or can be built or replaced in a minimum amount of time. Tyan recognizes this pressing need and has brought forth
two new server barebones designs to meet those demands: the Tyan Transport GT20 and GT24 offer a wide range of features and a level of convenience that can provide for the next generation of server projects for any
array of applications.
Using the technology architectures of the Intel® Xeon, Pentium® 4, or AMD Opteron processors, the Transport GT20 and GT24 can be configured to meet many different
requirements. Features of the GT20 and GT24 systems include:
- Standard width and height dimensions for easy integration into current/future installations: Transport GT24 - 17.2" (W), 1.72" (H), 25.4" (D); Transport GT20 - 17.2" (W), 1.72" (H), 22.4" (D)
- Slim CD-ROM and FDD bay support (DVD-ROM optional)
- 350W (single processor support) or 500W (dual processor support) P/S
- Tool-less and screw-less chassis and major component design
- Service and support-centric modular backplane and storage design
- Bezel and LCD module customization options
- …and much more!
Other excellent features on the system-level include support for PC3200/2700/2100 type Registered Memory with ECC support (and ChipKill with Opteron processors in select memory configurations), and
hardware activity monitoring and control for components such as the fans and VRMs. All of this is backed by full parts, service and support policy from Tyan.
