TYAN® UNVEILS ARRAY OF NEW PRODUCTS AND SOLUTIONS AT CEBIT GERMANY EVENT
CeBIT Hannover hosts Tyan Exhibition with Incredible Range of
New Platforms and Systems [ Hall 22, Booth #16 (USA Pavilion), A5~A8 ]
HANNOVER, GERMANY, March 10th, 2005 -
Tyan®, a world leader in
server and workstation technology, will showcase a number of new products at one of the world's largest IT events, CeBIT Hannover in Germany. With multiple arenas to showcase a grand number of the newest technologies to
become available in the next few years, CeBIT Hannover is set to attract a powerful number of attendees to the event.
Tyan has a proven track record in the development and implementation of world-class server and
workstation platforms in a multitude of applications, using technology from market leaders such as Intel and AMD. In addition to platform products, Tyan has recently added system solutions with their new "Transport"
product line which are available in single and multi-processor flavors to meet nearly any customer requirement.
Expected to be on display this year will be newly-developed single and multi-processor Intel®
and AMD server and workstation platforms, designed for multiple business environments including small, medium, and enterprise level IT infrastructures. All of these highly-integrated platforms include support for the
Intel® Xeon™, Pentium® 4, AMD Athlon™ 64, Geode™ NX or Opteron™ processors, and have incredible features such as multiple Gigabit Ethernet LAN connections, USB 2.0 and FireWire (1394a)
ports, SATA-II with RAID, and a wide variety of hardware monitoring and remote management functionality.
On a special note, Tyan will introduce their Tomcat K7M (S2498) ecology-minded compact FlexATX platform
which uses the AMD Geode NX processor and the VIA KN400A chipset to provide a thermally-efficient and size-optimized approach, meeting requirements for desktop or server applications in an embedded space. Tyan also
plans to exhibit the new Tomcat K8E (S2865), an NVIDIA nForce™ 4-based AMD Athlon 64 FX server/desktop platform which will be available with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, audio, SATA-II with NVRAID™, and many
more value-added features.
In addition to system platforms, Tyan will also demonstrate new additions to the Transport line of pre-built barebones servers. In particular, the new Transport GT20 and GT24 line of
chassis enclosures will be showcased in several configurations with dual AMD Opteron processors, dual Intel Xeon processors, and a single Intel Pentium 4 solution. These new enclosures herald a new look-and-feel for
Tyan's Transport product line and will enable customers to quickly build infrastructures or fulfill project requirements with these ready-to-use 1U and 2U system solutions.
